Executive Summary

EAshford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing an environment that is safe and secure for all staff, patients, and visitors. Acts of violence, abuse, discrimination, sexual abuse, or threatening behaviour towards staff are not acceptable. NHS Staff should be able to come to work without fear of violence, abuse or harassment from patients, their relatives, colleagues, or other members of the public that use the services of the NHS.

Under the Health and Safety at work act 1974, the Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust has a statutory obligation to ensure as is reasonably practicable, a safe and secure environment for its staff.
